The Limping Fox opened its doors in July 2017. A family run business, set up following the success of our first award-winning pub; The Victoria Park in Bristol. A labour of love to provide the perfect environment to enjoy a delicious meal, have drinks with friends or spend an afternoon with the whole family in our south-facing garden.
Our attitude has never changed; to serve high quality wines, a vast range of premium spirits, craft beers and local ales at affordable prices. The menu revolves around the best ingredients we can find, lovingly prepared and crafted into unique and delicious dishes.
We have received great reviews and recently won the Best British Roast Dinner 2017 for the south of England, which has encouraged us to constantly move with the times and aim to be one of the best pubs in the area.
We hope to see you for a pint very soon! Luke & Heloise.
One more thing… People keep asking us why we have named the pub The Limping Fox? Well, our 2-year-old daughter is obsessed with a fox, who walks with a limp, and wanders the streets of Thames Ditton. He can often be found down by the river, enjoys a bit of dog food from time to time and has been known to steal the odd shoe from people’s gardens! So, there you have it - The Limping Fox – based on a living legend.

Exhibitions at The Limping Fox
At the Limping Fox we will celebrating local artists with ongoing exhibitions throughout the year. We are currently really excited to be featuring the artwork of Julie Burnett (nee Mealing):
“I was born in Kingston-Upon- Thames in 1966. I studied Three Dimensional Design at Brighton University gaining a BA Honours Degree. I have worked for companies as a designer well as producing work freelance. I am currently teaching at Coombe Boys’ school in New Malden and working from my studio in Long Ditton.
This is my first solo exhibition. It includes work that I have produced on location when on holiday in Norfolk or around Long Ditton.
My influences are everything I see, feel and experience. I am always on the lookout! It is about enjoying the local environment and taking in all the everyday things and observing them with an artistic eye or from a child’s perspective.
My goal is to inspire those who see my artwork to look more carefully at the world around them and discover beauty in unusual places.
Please enjoy looking at my work.”

"ABSOLUTE GEM AND EXACTLY WHAT THE LOCAL AREA NEEDS"
In the three short weeks since this pub opened I have been three times and have recommended it to all my local friends. This is how you open a pub and impress a local crowd.
The food is delicious, well cooked and looks stunning. The children's menu also doesn't break the bank. The selection of drinks is plentiful and of good quality and the service is friendly and efficient. Given the staff are all new and you expect there to be teething problems in a new establishment, I have not experienced any on my visits.
The design inside is welcoming and I like the added touch of being able to purchase the prints.
If there was any constructive feedback, I would suggest adding a couple of Wendy houses in the garden (if there is a desire to attract parents with younger children) as the climbing frame is quite high.
Keep up the good work, and I look forward to my future visits.

"AMAZING FOOD, GREAT ATMOSPHERE"
"We came here for dinner on a Saturday night having read amazing reviews in the paper and wow what a find! The atmosphere was buzzing but not rammed, the staff were super friendly and the food was fantastic. Dishes were all beautifully presented, tasted delicious yet not overly priced. Yummy vegetarian options. Good wine menu too. Thrilled that we have such an incredible local. We will definitely be returning!"
